Decor Shopping on a Budget

It’s a new year, which for me usually means it’s time for a fresh look at home.

This doesn’t mean an extreme home makeover, just a few new items to changing things up in a room or two. And of course now that we’ve resolved to spend less money in 2013 (and work out, see our friends more, take that art class) that means shopping on a budget!

Here are my favorite “budget” stores for home decor and accessories. I also use a lot of online discount websites like One Kings Lane that have higher end items, and one of kind pieces, at a discount prices!

HomeGoods

For all of it. Seriously, I can’t get enough of this place.

World Market

World Market has a great selection of ethnic and earthy items, from lamps and throw rugs to side tables and trunks.

Target

Because who doesn’t love Target? Especially when they feature designer lines, like the current Nate Burkus line)

Z Gallerie

Sometimes Z Gallerie can go a little overboard when it comes to the “modern baroque” look but that doesn’t mean it’s not a great place to find accessories like book ends, mirrors, and more. Looking to stage a bookshelf? Check out their selection of “filler items” like statutes, candlesticks and picture frames.
